The rounding hammer. On one face you have the rounded die forged ground precisely to reduce the surface area contact, spreading and drawing out material in fewer heats. Clean up your forgings with the flat die. Tilting the flat die at an angle gives you the ability to fuller and isolate a section of material. The rounding hammer is a very versatile tool.

2.5# is a great weight for forging stock 1/2” or under, and for any knifemaker. For larger stock over 3/4”, the 4.5lber excels above all, and 3.5lbs being right between is the most versatile.

Hand forged from 1045 mid-carbon steel, heat treated, then set on a super premium hickory handle with a black walnut wedge. Both quality and highly aesthetic.
