I have lived in Minnesota all of my years. In 2016 I started blacksmithing and soon after I signed-up to take a class by Alec Steele in February of 2017 in Canada. I have practiced and perfected what I learned from Alec in my shop. There isn't a better foundation to learn and build your technique from. I use what I learned from Alec in almost everything I forge today. I'm also a member of the local ABANA affiliate 'The Guild of Metalsmiths' that conduct events frequently year-round.

Brent Bailey came to Minnesota for the first annual Hammerfest held here in Minneapolis. Well over 20 Bailey style hammers were forged in two days!
Forged in fire runner up, Lyle Wynn, demonstrated using small hand tools and efficiency techniques at the anvil to forge trinkets and decorative pieces.
